Perry has garnered much success over the past year. She claims to have done very well in 2011 by hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time last Saturday (December 10).
Perry says that most artists who are lucky enough to host Saturday Night Live say it was a dream for them. "But it's really for all of us, a dream come true to host SNL , just to have fun, make gaffes, try and make people laugh, "she says.
Katy Perry said she is inspired by the women who participate in Saturday Night Live and insists that she greatly admires. "I like women who are to agree to laugh at themselves," said she.

Karen Swift, 44 year-old mother of four who had been missing from the day before Halloween and was seen last seen at her home in Dyersburg, a city located about 77 miles north-northeast of Memphis, body was found dead near Bledsoe Cemetery, just 2 miles from her Dyer County home. She was murdered and authorities have launched a homicide investigation to find out the murderer.Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge John Mehr said the body, almost unidentified and decomposing, was discovered Saturday in Dyer County. They're not saying how she was murdered and no suspects have been named.
"It's very emotional for Mr. Swift and the family," Timothy Naifeh, a lawyer for the woman's husband, David Swift, said in a statement. Karen Swift had filed for divorce from her husband on October 10. Botox, cheek-fillers, lasers, lipo — as a beauty writer, I’ve had them all. But, despite countless offers of free trials, there is one cosmetic treatment I have avoided at all costs: lip fillers.
Why? Well, quite frankly, I think they leave women looking ridiculous. Far from achieving the bee-stung plump pout of Angelina Jolie, you’re often left with the protruding, beak-like lips of Big Bird from Sesame Street.
But it seems not everyone shares my view. Take super-WAG Abbey Crouch, who last week wore a star-print dress, obligatory headful of blonde highlights, spidery false eyelashes and that other C-list essential: an enormous pair of seemingly ‘enhanced’ lilo lips.

At 25, she instantly added a good ten years to her apparent age with her ridiculous trout pout. While she claims her new look is all down to lip gloss, she looks awfully like one of a long line of needle suspects.
Think Meg Ryan, Melanie Griffith, Patsy Kensit and, most famously, Men Behaving Badly star Leslie Ash.
But why the clamour for swollen lips? Perhaps because fuller mouths are associated with youth and fertility.
Lips tend to thin from around the age of 30, with the effects becoming more obvious from the late 30s, especially on smokers. Studies show that women with naturally full lips look years younger than their thinner-lipped contemporaries, even if their hair is grey.
In a world where youth and sexiness are everything, and celebs dread the day the phone stops ringing or the husband starts straying, lip fillers — which take about ten minutes to do and cost from £200 — can seem irresistible.

The trouble is, enhanced lips rarely pass as natural. At an anti-ageing conference in Monaco a year ago, I listened to a female cosmetic doctor tell me how she favoured a ‘very natural look’.
She sported an upper lip so hideously overstuffed that when she closed her mouth, it folded in two like a duvet being shoved into a drawer.
You’d assume this scary creature (she was also glassy with Botox) would make clients run a mile, but, in fact, she was very much in demand.
Some women, amazingly, deliberately seek out a fake look to look like a Barbie doll. Others seem to lose all perspective on their appearance.
Terrified of letting their lips subside to natural proportions, they have endless top-ups that make their mouth inflate just a little more each time.
My theory is they see themselves in the mirror only while pouting, so they never notice another real drawback of fake lips — they look particularly weird in profile, as they tend to project out of the face. And when the lips move in speech, the filler can look lumpy and rigid in motion.
A friend of mine who tried lip fillers admits it didn’t go according to plan.

‘When it wore off after six months, friends and family begged me not to have a top-up,’ she said. ‘When I asked why, they admitted I looked weird, especially when I talked. Now, when I look at pictures of my bulbous lips, I cringe.’
Fortunately, lip jobs do wear off. When the trend started in the Eighties, doctors used collagen as a filler, but it lasted only for a month or two, so surgeons started offering permanent fillers — from Gore-tex strips sewn into the mouth to fillers full of tiny plastic balls.
These often caused hideous side-effects, such as rejection, permanent hard lumps and scarring.
Nowadays, lip jobs should be done with safe hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Restylane, which last about six to nine months and are instantly dissolvable using a special antidote.
Dr Tracy Mountford, medical director of the Cosmetic Skin Clinic in London and Stoke Poges, is a fan of the minimalist look, saying most women just want a ‘natural, sensuous’ appearance. She warns trout pouts tend to occur when filler is injected into the very edge of the lips, giving a stiff, protruding effect.

‘We normally inject the product into lips, avoiding the edges where it can form a ridge,’ she says. ‘Hyaluronic acid acts like scaffolding to support and lift the lip from the inside.’
It’s also important, she warns, not to obliterate the Cupid’s bow in the centre of the upper lip, otherwise lips look slug-like.
Dr Mountford says that in her clinic they use more ultra-fine products such as Restylane Lipp to hydrate and gently plump the surface of the lips, and small amounts of filler to get rid of the purse-string lines around the mouth, rather than give a big-lipped, WAG look.
Me? Well, the older I get the less I do. I’ve given up all facial fillers, and shall be sticking with my Bobbi Brown lipgloss, with maybe a touch of Benefit’s Lip Plump for the illusion of more luscious lips. When it comes to lips, I say bigger is definitely not always better.

She's had her fair share of weight worries over the years, going from a tiny size eight to a size 20 at her heaviest since being in the public eye.
But now Steps singer Claire Richards has revealed she has finally come to terms with her figure, and is now happy with the way she looks.
The 34-year-old star, who slimmed back down to a size 10 earlier this year after following a diet and exercise regime, made the admission as she showed off her size 16 figure in a sexy sequinned gown for Closer magazine.
Claire said: 'This Christmas is about celebrating my fab year. I finally feel my weight isn’t the first thing on everyone’s lips – it’s all about Steps and where I’m heading in the future.
'I’m happy the way I am – I’m just me. If the likes of Diana Dors and Marilyn Monroe can be curvy but still sexy, I’ll happily have them as role models!'
Claire recently revealed she has put on two stone since she had gone down to a size 10, simply because she found her new regime too difficult to maintain.

Changing shapes: Claire has yo-yoed between 10 and 15 stone over the past couple of years
She explained: 'I desperately want the focus on my voice than my size. Keeping the weight off it where I struggle.

Claire's revelation that she has finally accepted the way she looks comes as welcome news after the mother-of-one's admission last month that she was struggling with her body image.
She said at the time: 'I don’t know if I’ll ever be truly happy with myself, but I’ll give it my best shot.
'The important thing is to be comfortable whatever my size. I’m sure I’ll get bigger and smaller again over the next few years.'
Richards has been thrust back into the spotlight following the TV hit Steps Reunion, with the band enjoying their Greatest Hits album going to number one and an upcoming sold-out tour.
But she admits she was wary of the reunion, fearing it would bring up old issues regarding the pressure she felt to be thin during Steps' heyday in the Nineties.
Steps will embark on a tour in April, and added extra dates after their initial 14-night run sold out in a day.
It will kick off at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on April 2 and will conclude at the O2 in London on April 19.

It's the pregnancy she never thought would ever happen after she revealed this year that she has very low fertility.
So it's no wonder that Chantelle Houghton is ready to embrace her baby bump - and she doesn't care how fat she gets.
The reality TV star is three-and-a-half months pregnant with hers and fiance Alex Reid's first child and is already starting to show quite a lot.
And she proudly showed off her burgeoning bump as she spoke to New! magazine about putting on weight and the miracle of being with child.
Chantelle, 28, announced her pregnancy last month, just five weeks after Reid, who was married to Katie Price, proposed to her on Irish TV.

And speaking to the magazine, Chantelle, who has battled with her body weight and had breast implants, said being pregnant has helped her get over her body issues.
She said: 'I don’t care how fat I get. I’ll get as fat as a house as long as everything’s OK.

'I’m not worrying about losing the weight afterwards. I’ll just do it gradually. I’m in no rush to snap back into shape. I’m not putting any pressure on myself. And Alex will help me.'
Chantelle, who was married to singer Samuel Preston after they met in the Big Brother house in 2006, said her pregnancy is a miracle after she was told by doctors that in-vitro fertilisation was her only hope of getting pregnant.
She said: 'What’s the saying? Where there’s a sperm, there’s a way. I only release an egg three times a year, so the chances of me actually getting pregnant naturally were one per cent – slim to none. I think maybe it happened because we weren’t just having sex to get pregnant any more.'
But while she is embracing her pregnancy, she said it will be weird not being able to celebrate Christmas this year with alcohol.
She said: 'I love Christmas, and not being able to drink will be strange. I can’t wait to have a drink, but I’m all right with it.
'I’m going to get something so special at the end of all this that a glass of wine or going out getting smashed means nothing.'

Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush in Nude Nuance: Review and Swatches
Ever since I passed up Springshine Ombre blush from MAC's Spring Color Forecast collection, I've been geeking for it. You know, I left it there because why do I need yet another bronzer??? Instead I got the Grape and Peach ombre blushes -__- Ask me how often I touch them. Anddd long face again. So, some where in my brain I feel I need Springshine. Luckily for those wanting the grape ombre blush, it will be repromoted in the MAC Daphne Guinness collection coming up. What about someone like me who needs another bronzer blush like a shot in the foot?

Like a needle in a haystack, one result returned info that NYC's Sunny Matte bronzer is a close dupe. I wasn't persuaded. Luckily, I remembered that Estee Lauder had ombre blushes before MAC. The one closest to Springshine is called Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush Nude Nuance. CCO discounted price... BINGO! Apparently, they don't sell it any more. =(

I'm happy with this blush. It is silky smooth, blendable and pretty even without the shimmer. It's not chalky or too powdery at all. Springshine would make me happier, though ;) (ooh you makeup addicts know how it is! LOL)

Why so serious? Katie Price doesn't crack a smile as she departs from LAX yesterday
Most people would have been beaming from ear to ear if they could trade the cold British winter for some Californian sunshine.
But Katie Price didn't appear to be happy at all during her time in the States.
The glamour model was rarely seen without looking slightly annoyed.
Aren't you hot? Katie was wearing a fur-trimmed cardigan as she made her way through LAX airport
Even as she arrived at Los Angles International Airport yesterday, she didn't seem happy to be making the trip back home to Great Britain.
The mother-of-one arrived at LAX in a creme cardigan with a fur trim and was escorted by a number of airline staff into the terminal.
She was quickly bustled into a side entrance normally reserved for employees before being taken through security.

At the security check point Katie was treated like every other passenger and was told to remove her cardigan and put her computer in a tray to be scanned.
She remained hidden behind her large sunglasses and kept her lips firmly clasped.
This afternoon Katie arrived at London Heathrow and maintained her no smile policy.
Going home: The mother-of-three looked miserable as she waited to go through security
Anything to declare? The reality star emptied her bag and pulled out an iPad at security
She was met once again with a security escort and quickly made her way through Arrivals and out of the airport.
Her lips appeared to be slightly more full than usual and at one point she tried to conceal her pout.
She appeared to be distracted by her mobile phone and was checking it constantly.

Perhaps her ex-husband Peter Andre has something to do with her blue mood.
The Mysterious Girl singer admitted to Piers Morgan that he suffered panic attacks after the breakdown of his marriage to Price, who he divorced in 2009.
Appearing on an episode of Piers Morgan's Life Stories, Andre broke down in tears as he spoke about the split.
He said: 'I think that's what hurts the most about what went wrong a few years ago. Because I'd just come from the worst place in my life. I'm not blaming anybody, but when I finally found happiness (with Katie), it was the first time I'd felt good.

The 33-year-old hit The Grove in LA wearing some very daring purple hot pants.

She trod the streets in a pair of knee-high boots and a black sleeveless top by online brand AX Paris, looking like she meant business behind her gigantic black sunglasses.

And Katie's certainly earned the right to relax, having just wrapped up what has sounded like a brutal exercise plan with former Gladiator star, Mark 'Rhino' Smith.

She posted a picture of herself hard at work in the gym earlier today, writing: 'My last session today with @MarkRhinoSmith', before adding another one, captioned 'I'm certainly feeling fitter. Wooooo.'
Mother-of-four Katie accompanied another shot with the caption: 'A blast from the past friend @MarkRhinoSmith I was in panto with about 14 years ago has been training me in LA.'
Katie is seen standing next to 42-year-old Smith, who bares his own muscles with pride by going shirtless for the occasion.
